Young Leader Day of May with the topic “Young Leaders and Information Forum” is outstanding monthly event hosted by Yleader NGO (New NGO for the Youth: Yleader) which was founded in April 2014. Based on the initial idea of Mrs. Pham Thuy Anh- President of CDF, our organization tends to create a good playground and bring young female leaders opportunities to learn, to practice and to share.

The dialogue is pleased to welcome speakers such as Mr. Le Doan Hop, Former Minister of Information & Communications; Mr. Stefan Hochhuth, experts in Practice Governance of the World Bank; Mr. Mai Phan Loi, Chairman of the Scientific Council MEC, deputy general secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Law newspaper office. Forum is honored to welcome the presence of representatives of the Council of Administration in CDF: Ms. Pham Thuy Anh, President of Cooperation and Development Foundation; Tran Thuy Lan, CEO of CDF. Particularly, the hall was filled with more than 50 students from all the universities in Hanoi.

Specialists emphasized the importance of the information in transparency and the role of transparency in improving the quality of life. Besides, Information Technology and Social Media are essential for the social accountability and encouraging transparency. Especially, in the event, new concepts about Information and Communication Technology- ICT and the necessity of an Open Governance Data System were brought about Mr. Stefan Hochhuth, Professionals in the fields of Governance and ICT of the World Bank Group, came from Washington DC.

A range of questions about “information and access to information”, “communication”, “ICT”, and “transparency” from young participants were answered by our honor speakers. Young leaders had shared their interest in information and communication progress toward a better and transparent society.

As a donor, a sponsor of Yleader NGO over a year from the establishment in April 2014, CDF expressed their commitment to accompany with the youth, especially the young female leaders to help them completed themselves and successfully present their significant role in promoting transparency and the development of Viet Nam by dedicating their strength and passion.
